Dream a Little Dream

Little by little, as we all grow older, we keep forgetting all the magic that kept us dreaming and believing in the impossible. Fairy tales are no longer real, dreams never come true and are as unattainable as walking on sunshine. Influences around us dictate what we should say and do and believe; suddenly we find we don't even believe in ourselves anymore.

The beautiful ballet of Swan Lake gave me a breath of fresh air. It reminded me that even in times of adversity one should always allow oneself to dream.
btw, I was watching it off youtube. You all should check it out =)

I think that something that differences us bloggers from everyone else is how introverted we can sometimes be. A month more or less has passed since I started music school and I can finally say that I'm starting to fit in. Ok, so I'm not really a people person; don't get me wrong, I am really nice and fun to be around with (not grumpy or mean at all) it's just that it takes me some time to actually get acquainted and open up to people. Usually I just get lost in my corner of the world and think about pretty things while I try to get used to a new place. *is this me or anyone else does this?*

Fave Song of the Moment - Somewhere by Within Temptation
it's a really sweet song and the band is pretty awesome, plus her dress reminded me of a sweet swan...

Do you dream a little? Oh, and how easily do you get used to new places; pretty quick or slug speed like me? Lol!
=)

  2. Must be a blogger thing! :)
I'm definitely not a people person at all. I'm much too socially awkward to be sociable. I either talk too much when I meet new people and don't know when to shut up, because I'm attempting to seem fun and normal, or I just sit there awkwardly in silence with my Ipod on, wishing I was somewhere else. Preferably shopping. ;) It takes me forever to be myself around new people. I like observing others rather than participating with them.

I think a lot of us takes a bit of time to feel comfortable in our surroundings. good luck in music school!

  7. I'm very much a person who has to warm up to other people..and vice versa. But once I feel comfortable with someone you can't shut me up!!

I had the infinite privilege of getting to see the Bolshoi Ballet do Swan Lake. It was so beautiful I cried and it's still my favorite ballet ever.

  8. I agree with your points here. Sometimes also, being a blogger can fixed you in front of your computer and miss the life out there. But on the other hand, blogging is an imaginary world that can make you who you wanna be.

Lovely photos. Do you exchange links? I would love to exlinks with you. Please let me know. Thanks :)

  9. I love ballet and as a younger person, my soul was that of a dancer! And, yes, I was much more "shy" than you in my younger days! But take heart - the timidity lessens with maturity, and you'll eventually learn how to "balance" life. When that happens, your dreams are more attainable.

Follow your heart, dear, and the dreams will become reality!

  12. I dream too much. I spend so much time imaging the perfect world, that I forget to work on making those dreams a reality.

  13. I am definitely an introvert, and blogging has definitely helped me connect with like-minded people who I'd probably be too shy to approach in real life.

  18. I remember as a child being creeped out by this ballet. I think because it's visually dark and just quiet, as most bellets are. Now Anytime I see tulle and dancers I get very dreamy and start thinking of dresses, fashion and art. Dreaming is what keeps people going, and it's only necessary for me to dream everyday. I think being girl only "worsens" the situation.

  31. the way that the ballerinas arch thier backs so gracefully is incredible. I love the refinement and delicatness of ballet.
I think that's while we blog. We can be social and only share what we want to share, we can edit our thoughts before shaing them, we can interact without ever really interacting.

  32. Swan Lake is one of the most beautifully tragic ballets out there. Being a dancer myself, I have found it to be beautifully enchanting as well as one of the most difficult to dance because the roles are so demanding choreography wise. If you get the chance, watch Svetlana Zakharova do the role of Odette on Youtube! Trust me, its ethereally captivating!
