Heartbeats From The Attic

Attics, as we might know, have always filled people with some sort of fear. In movies, cartoons or even real life, attics are a tad scary for anyone of any age; though all we stuff there are old comic books and some family treasures. I guess it must do with that eerie, dark feeling we all get while walking through one; I mean, the heavy atmosphere in attics usually give you goosebumps. And everything there seems to sound louder and deeper and spookier; it seems as if it had a heart of its own and you can hear it beating...

The inspiration behind this post is actually a band I know called Heartbeats from the Attic; they are pretty awesome if you're into metalcore music, lol. The guys are insanely talented; and believe me their music honors their name, it does sound like heartbeats coming from an attic.
So, do attics scare you?
Boo!

  1. I wish we had an attic, sadly lots oh houses here don't. Just a crawl space mostly filled with insulation.

Thanks for the tip, Heartbeats from the Attic is awesome!

  2. It's been years since I've been in an attic (our house doesn't have one). I've always been intrigued by their aura of mystery and the oftentimes "off limits" rule that accompanies them. They are eerie and exciting places!

  8. I've actually never been in an attic, but all of my houses have had basements. Attics freak me out, probably from watching too many paranormal TV shows.

  14. I agree with the preconceived notion about attics. My attic is no exception... I'm scared to go to my own attic.

  15. Love the pictures! I've never been afraid of attics, but the ones in the houses I've lived in have always been for storage so I never went in them!

  16. My grandmother has an attic and I know that there are some little treasures there like books or some of my baby stuff (which I do not find interesting...) still... I wouldn't like to go there on my own! Too many dark places, way too silent...

But if it would be what I call a cute attic, it would be very interesting to visit :)

    kisses*

  18. Wow, this photos are so stunning!

This is so sad, but I dont have any memories of being in an attic. I know kids are supposed to have all their toys stored up there, or something, but I dont have any stand out memories! *sighhh*

Thanks so much for stopping by!
