I Love the Way You Think

It takes an incredible amount of creativity and cleverness to build up a heartwarming issue of any fashion magazine.
May it be any monthly issue or our sacred September Issue, fashion magazines have gone a long way. From the articles they display, to their fashion shoots and covers; a whole metamorphosis has been taking place since the very first impression.

As we all may know, our beloved Vogue Magazine has been alive since 1892. Fashion shoots were starting to rise around the 1930's because of Hollywood's influence in fashion and glamour.
And precisely this made me wonder, what did they publish in their magazines before this time, if it wasn't pictures?
Well, they showcased ideas and fashion sketches!
Covers and articles centered on the art of design were exactly what was in vogue, making every publication a true work of art.Sorry for the lack of posts lately, blogging once a week is killing me -I wish days had a little more than 24 hours and weeks were made of 10 days at least.

Just curious, what's the best place you've ever been at? =)

  2. Wow, I would love to get my hands on some of those!

The coolest place I have ever been is Stockholm, Sweden. I wasn't even there for a whole day, and I was with my mom, but it is still the most amazing place I have visited.

  16. These are beautiful! Vogue Paris recently celebrated its 90 year anniversary by displaying some of their most iconic covers in the middle of the city and I was blown away by the beautiful illustrations of the issues dating back to the 20s and 30s. I think the sketches at the time, did a great job at representing the current trends and fashion.

    Lovely blog by the way!

  18. Ooh, vintage Vogue-- tres chic! I love those old art deco images... I would love to collect vintage fashion magazines like that.

Hmm, it's hard for me to pick a favorite place. I'm from the Hudson Valley region of New York, which I find to be a pretty magical place (just consider the works of Washington Irving, from fairy tales like Rip Van Winkle to Sleepy Hollow). I hate being away from there and when I visit, I never want to leave. That said, the coolest place I've ever traveled to was probably Colorado. I climbed the Rockies, and it was crazy up there-- snowing in July! Being up so high is literally breathtaking. What about you? Where is your favorite place? :)
