Fashion Trends that should disappear...

Stores are a tad boring for me nowadays. Instead of being all happy with back to school shopping, I'm quite disappointed. Why you ask? Well everything I find at the mall you find in every store! Ok, not like the same garment or anything, it's just same trends that have been going on forever and ever (maybe not forever, just a few years now) and I believe this has to stop!!

List of trends that should die now:
1. Gladiator sandals - they are adorable but they've been around for a while now (since Summer 2008) and I just think it's time to retire these lovelies and take them away from the Summer sun for a bit.

2. Skinny jeans - they are comfy, I admit, but they are the only cut I find in stores like f21 or Zara and it's just too much. I already owe a closet full! Boot cut or flare please??

3. Crocs - I find them ugly. Period.
Sorry if any of you guys loves these, I'm just letting the fashion industry know they need a little innovation... =)

  2. Yes, I agree with the above list. The good news? skinny jeans ARE on their way out!!! The 70's are merging into tomorrows designs cause I'm seeing a lot of bells on the re-turn.... so hallelujah to that, cause skinnys on me look horrible.

  3. crocs are horrifying! trends annoy me, especially because half of them aren't of my liking and because i see them around so much on blogs, etc. and then they're still hanging around months later around the streets, because i live in australia, and everything is so slow over here! although i love skinny jeans, because i'm not particularly tall and i'm skinny so they suit me well, but flares are always nice, especially on kate moss :)

  4. wow, I agree with all of these. Crocs of course, but I'm seriously hoping that bootcut will make a comback this fall. Not all heels look good with skinny jeans.

  5. Yeah, I agree. It seems like clothes have been stuck in a rut the past few years. Hopefully we'll see some new stuff soon!

  6. awe awe aweeee!!

i love skinny jeans! only for the simple reason, that i have extremely long legs, and they are the only jeans that look decent on me...i hope i'm not toooooo ghetto! ;)

and i adore gladiator sandals. i think they're sheer perfection. but i do agree: everyone has them, and they're not 'unique' anymore. so it's a tough situation! hah

i do hate crocs however. worst invention ever!

    great post though.

  7. I completely agree about skinnies. I love them to death and would die without them in the winter (what else would we tuck in our boots?) but I would love to see a little more cut diversity in stores. After a certain point there's only so much you can do with skinny jeans.

  8. i definitely agree with the crocs. they were always awful to me.
funny because i bought two pair of jeans today - a skinny pair and a boy-cut pair. i like them all. just depends what mood i'm in.
and maybe i'm the one of the only chicks left who still hearts the gladiator style. i don't wear mine anymore but they still live in my closet, not ready to give them up just yet.

  10. I agree! I adore bootcut jeans, and I just want them to come back. I never liked gladiator sandals like those in the picture -- knee length? That's a bit much.

  11. Hahaha, I agree with crocs. And gladiators are getting really crazy to the point where they are ugly.. like in those pictures of yours! I'm also getting sick of those sublimation (sp?) style tops. I can't go into a store without seeing them!!

  19. Lol, this is so true!
seriously I dont know who invented crocs but he has to retire. they are ugly period-
I think nowadays if you really want to find something unique you need to shop online at least you can google whatever you are looking for and find the best sites and deals.
    I love your blog.

  21. I completely agree on the crocs, they were never cool.

I'm not a huge fan of the knee high gladiators, but I like the ankle length ones. I love skinny jeans, but I agree that there should be more variety.

  22. I understand crocs indoors or at waterparks - but outside on a normal day, not cool. There are other comfy shoes you know. :)

  24. I'm ready to see the end of leggings and just a shirt - individuals are getting lazy with their clothes and wearing leggings as sweat pants - unacceptable! C;
