Yes, I think I'm changing this around once more. I just have to be honest pink isn't a color I'm finding inspiring now in fall so I'm gonna switch things around a try a new color scheme.
Sorry if things look like a mess for a few.

Burberry Fall 2010

We are less than a month away until Fall Season officially starts -tho stuck in a tropical island we never see the change here; just horrid, sticky, hot climate all year long -and our fave designers are already sharing the lineup.

I think my fave this year is Burberry's. I'm really liking the military feel and the dark pallette with the sudden splash of pinks and greens.
Here's a few of my fave designs:

Lucky Needle

Sitting all alone right now im my room I realize that I've done the right thing. Dates are in for my new sewing lessons this October, the shop is doing great and being featured in a few places - I feel like a proud parent right now - my college music classes are incredibly fun (at least my piano and voice classes are) and seriously I can't even understand how things have changed so much in so little time; it wasn't even that long ago when I posted how down and disappointed of life I felt.

I got called back from my old tutoring job, but I refused to go back. For some reason, I was feeling that that job was trapping me somehow. I wasn't allowed much to be who I am, dress how I wanted and lets say just be an individual. And, right now I'm feeling free. Yes, maybe things are a bit tighter but I enjoy the creative liberty and the feeling of being in charge of my life and where I want it to go.

I just think things will start going in a new direction from now on, and I'm quite looking forward to it.

Who is She: Alex Winston, an incredible singer, songwriter and guitarist from Detroit.

Her Style: Totally bohemian-ish, with her gorgeous black locks flying in 12 different directions.

What does she sound like?: She's got a very sweet voice color, her songs have this girly rock feel, her tunes are poppy and fun and they just draw a smile on your face.

Musical Mondays: The Like

As you guys might know, I am a music student and as such, music makes my world go round ( so does fashion but yeah, that's always an argument, lols). Anyhoo, decided to add a regular Monday post on cool musical acts with insane fashion and style for our ears' (and style sense) enjoyment.

The first edition of Musical Mondays belongs to this awesome act from L.A. California.

WHO ARE THEY: The Like, formed by 4 lovely and talented girls - Z Burg (vocals and guitar), Tennessee Thomas (drums), Laena Geronimo (bass), and Annie Monroe (organ).
THEIR STYLE: They are totally a breath of fresh air dressed in vintage inspired outfits that have you thinking if you timewarped to the 60's.
WHAT DO THEY SOUND LIKE?: Very indie-ish, sweet, croony vocals, soft rock ballads and fun, bold lyrics. They really remind me of The Beatles for some reason.

It passed me by so quickly...

I still cannot believe summer vacation is over for me! I didn't do half the things I wanted to -yes ranting quite but still - it just passed too soon. Summer vacation should be at least 3 to 4 months long and being sick with colds and laryngitis should give you an extra 2 weeks for your suffering (I'm in day 4 of a silent vow in efforts to getting my voice back before my first voice class this Weds).
Well, I guess there is no other choice but to say adieu to those lush days and welcome the new school year (that I am quite excited about).

To all you guys out there, Happy Back to School!

Recessionista 101: The Coupon Hunter

Being in the shopping ban that I am (yes, I'm not shopping cuz I'm a tad low on funds, lols) there is one aspect of shopping that I've never explored of myself: the coupon hunter side.

I remember when growing up in the 90's my parents would give me safety scissors and the newspaper for me to cut out coupons for groceries. Now, I totally forgot about the existence of those little pieces of paper with codes and loads of special deals and discounts.

Browsing around I found out that even our beloved stores have little hidden coupons to take advantage of. Sites have coupons for stores like Ann Tayor to Buckle to Hot Topic!

So, I guess recessionista rule number - umm ok I forgot the number- would be when shopping take advantage of cute little coupons that can save you some cash especially when shopping for school.

Vogue Italia's Homage to an Environmental Disaster

As we all know, Steve Meisel is rather the extravagant photographer and visionary. Word goes around that fashion bloggers are hating this editorial, calling it irreverent and a mock to the environmental disaster we are going through not only with various oil spills but with many other problems.

I actually like it, I feel it represents bluntly what is to happen to the human race if we keep this behavior up, and it is only up to us to put a stop. We are already covering various species with oil, pollutants etc. and, it's only time that it'd soon reach us.
