A Flower for you My Lady...

New York is such a colorful place and not until I saw my collection of pics did I notice now many flowers you can find just anywhere!

Well these are mostly all from Central Park's Conservatory Garden. Definitely a dream to be in!

I am home sick. Yes, I am home and all but since my last trip to NYC nothing has been the same.

A Rainy Day and some Jazz...

Today was exactly like this, a very rainy day and some Jazz to spice it up. I think rainy days always bring me good luck; or at least they calm me down enough.
Finals for Voice Class were today and I'm incredibly happy I passed mine. Seriously it was an incredible experience; performing Autumn Leaves and Les Mis' On my Own for 6 voice professors.
Honestly, I have never cried when singing any piece and while singing On my Own, I just felt my eyes fill with tears; and just like my bestie said : it was a life defining moment; this is something I want to do for the rest of my days - besides the designing, obviously.

Just resuming my day in pictures:

Floral Print of the dress I wore today and my fave locket that I had with me, though no one noticed because I was wearing a scarf over it. My "On my Own" music sheet, the view from my car window at a traffic light, and my beloved umbrella.

The Sun's Lover

Even though it is "winter", here in Puerto Rico the weather is warm enough to run around in summer clothes -total bummer.
The sun is incredibly warm and friendly, it's quite incredible that we are in mid December!

Took these pics at my bf's mum's house; they've got a pretty big yard and adorable kittens to photograph. Speedy -the kitty - has always loved me taking pics of it and somewhat poses for every shot. Also was trying out my new tripod but pictures didn't turn out that well, I need some practice!

Musical Mondays: Double Dose of Bands - Paramore + Dream Theater

So deep down someplace in the confines of my little musical soul, I am a rocker.

Yes, I might enjoy indie pop or even some random electrika, but it's the headbanging and the guitars and meaningful lyrics what makes my heart skip a beat or two.

Decided to give you all a double dose of bands during this Musical Mondays post. Two bands that although are in the same "rock" genre, are two worlds apart and are usually on repeat on my itunes.

Fashion Sketches 101

I got to say I'm not really good with fashion sketching. Most of my designs just come to life in a different way, by playing with fabrics, modeling them and cutting/sewing into place.

But I'm going to share with you all this one sketch I did last Wednesday while waiting for my voice class and I'll kinda explain what I did along the way.

For the love of shoes

Isn't there a moment where you find yourself taking pictures of your shoes out of boredom? I think I tend to do this a whole lot.

I am definitely a flats girl; because of my back condition I'm not allowed to wear heels so 99.9% of my shoes are flat. I really believe the flat shoe area must be improved, I mean, stylish people also wear flats and not all of them can wear heels, am I right?

If your shoes were human, what would they look like??
I think mine would probably look like Kurt Cobain with a rhinestone denim jacket, lol!
